Qadian The Blessing Land - Hospitality (Chapter 2)

I was with the group, arrived in Qadian at 04.00 p.m... Sarae Wasim was the name of a guest house wherein we would stay. In our advent, the khuddam - the youth of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community - immediately welcomed us and began to work, serving, carrying our bags to each room, and preparing for launch - that time was still in the range of launch time. Mr. Basharat called, “Please who just come, have a launch first, just be calm, your pieces of stuff are safe, insya Allah.”

We then went to go launch to some room. If I saw the floor, it was a badminton court that was established a tent on it. A boy, I guessed he was athfal - the young boy of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, - was carrying
a tray contained glasses, walking directionally opposite with my group, fast and agilely. I was worried if those fell down and were broken. He was fast as if he was in a hurry but actually not. Now I was sure, haqqul yakin, “Here people works fast and deft.”

In launch, the khuddam and athfal served us. Preparing everything, carrying foods, taking plates and glasses that had been finished, I was so grateful to them. If there was an almost empty food container, they took it immediately and carried back the full one. They paid attention very much.

Once any of our group members asked hot water. He was an anshar - the old man who is 40 more in Ahmadiyya Muslim Community - who usually felt cold so bad because of the season. They knew that there was still no hot water at all at that time. They asked hospitably that please waited for 5 minutes because they would proceed it first. Fast and deftly, they went back to the kitchen, and within 5 minutes they came with hot water on their hands.

We decided to go to have some outing on a day before jalsa. I called it Tour de Qadian. We visited historical and important places wherein Ahmadiyya was established astonishingly. Sarae Ayyub, the guest house of Indonesia that still was being built; Jamiah Qadian, the University of Ahmadiyya that forms missionaries who will spread Islam teachings to all over the world; roti producer, a factory that produces roti for all guest of Jalsa Salana; An-Nur mosque; Fazle Umar Printing; Talimul Islam College; and so on. In the outside of Roti producer, I met a young man.

Jamiah Qadian

I met Tossi of Kashmir. The 6th-grade Jamiah Qadian Student. He was tall and strapping. His face seemed commanding. We talked, asking each other. He told a story about building surrounding us. He seemed to like my tour guidance at that time. He let me into Roti producer friendly. I still remember very clearly that he took two hot roti for me directly from the oven. “Can I try it?” I asked. “Why not?”
